The Secure Communications division is one of the leading providers of secure communications solutions for armed forces and government agencies with security tasks. As Head of Sales Germany, you will lead the German sales team and be responsible for the go-to-market strategy. You will develop the customer and partner network and give impetus to the further development of our portfolio. In your role, you will report to the Head of Sales Secure Communications.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Technical and disciplinary management and further development of the SC sales team Germany
  • Management and development of the business to optimise revenue per customer over the lifetime of Airbus products, services and solutions
  • Sales planning, forecasting and reporting
  • Overarching management of international/multifunctional sales campaigns in the area of responsibility and ensuring competitive campaign strategies
  • Expansion and maintenance of the Sales Funnel
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of assigned customer accounts by building trusted relationships across the customer organization, including in-depth knowledge of the customer procurement process and identifying key factors in the customer’s decision making process
  • Development and implementation of the sales strategy for the area of responsibility in coordination with the objectives of Secure Communications
  • Internal representative of the “voice of the customer”
  • Continuous improvement of (sales) processes and assurance of internal process quality
  • Development and maintenance of the industrial network SC, understanding of the competitive environment

This role will involve frequent travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • You have a degree in Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent
  • You have several years of professional experience in sales or business development
  • You have relevant experience in team management and ideally also experience as team leader
  • Ideally, you have an existing customer and industry network in the German defense industry
  • You have a strong knowledge of secure communication and information systems
  • You have a high level of expertise in sales methodology and procurement processes of the public client in Germany
  • You have a high degree of persuasiveness and assertiveness
  • Your workstyle is characterized by structure and organization
  • You speak English and German to negotiation level and it is a plus, if you speak any other language as well

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognised authorities.
