A vacancy for Project Managers (d/f/m) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Friedrichshafen or Ulm from October 2019. The successful applicant/s will join “TCID – Defence Solutions”.

Responsibilities
Our project managers (d/f/m) are responsible for the overall solution during the entire project life cycle.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Managing internal and customer projects in the military environment in compliance with all processes and national and international guidelines
- Resource planning/ monitoring for the successful completion of orders/ work packages
- Achievement of project objectives in terms of time, scope, costs, quality and customer satisfaction
- Implementation of a proactive risk and opportunity management
- Coordination of customer requirements and technology trends taking into account product strategy and market requirements
- Contribution to the preparation of proposals (bid management) and contract negotiations with customers, partners and suppliers
- Management and Planning of product development as well as operational and acceptance activities on industrial and customer side
- Management of the project team (set up, recruitment etc.)
- Managing relationships with customers, suppliers, subcontractors and with all internal stakeholders as required
- Presentations and workshops (internally and with customers)
- Participation in events, fairs, conferences
- Support the preparation of product strategy and the derived product development roadmaps and business plans
This role will involve travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
Profile
- Academic degree in Engineering, Business Administration/ Management or equivalent
- Experience in project management and in managing of (international) teams are desirable
- Good knowledge of project management processes, methods and tools (project management certification is an advantage)
- Ideally experience in military business
- Excellent communication skills, practical approach and good interpersonal skills
- Open-minded and confident appearance
- Intercultural competence and ability to work in teams
- Analytical and strategic thinking
- Structured and solution-oriented way of working
- Personal responsibility, ability to work under pressure and independently
- Ability to act flexible and proactively
- English: fluent/ negotiation level
- German: desirable
