A vacancy for a System Engineer (d/f/m) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Friedrichshafen.

The successful applicant will join “TASTT1 – Target Systems Engineering & Support”.

We continuously adapt our products to customer needs as well as technical innovations and develop them further. An agile environment enables us to design, develop and produce our products ourselves and to offer them to customers worldwide in service campaigns.

For Engineering & Support (TASTT1) we are looking for an interested and committed System Engineer at the earliest opportunity. The main focus of your work will be on sensor technology, as well as on the flight guidance system after appropriate training and experience. The spectrum ranges from troubleshooting in existing systems, adaptation and new developments to the control of corresponding work packages, also with regard to subcontractors. In short, we are looking for you, a pragmatic thinking and solution-oriented system engineer.

Profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering / Communications Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in the field of H/W – S/W development and integration
• Experience in electronics development
• Experience in High Frequency and Radar Technology desirable
• Experience in requirements engineering, experience with DOORS advantageous
• Good team player
• Willingness to participate in target presentation campaigns
• Knowledge in the field of model building, model flying, especially helicopters are desirable and advantageous but not mandatory
• Fluent in German and English, another language would be a plus

This role will involve frequent travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
