The appointment of the Assistant Vice President Business Development (Intelligence& Security) is to work with the TP Group Intelligence & Security (I&S) business stream to secure sustainable and profitable growth across commercial organisations and government departments.

The position holder will leverage internal and partnership knowledge in order to strengthen TP Group’s position in the I&S sector. Additionally, they will help to identify potential opportunities, develop them into live prospects and support their delivery to achieve the Groups ambitious growth strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Understand, promote and introduce TP Group value propositions to the I&S sectors stakeholders, existing and prospective clients, in collaboration withthe Vice President Business Development I&S.
  • Support the development and realisation of the sector BD strategy to achieve profitable annual growth and meet related targets including strike rate.
  • Contribute to the development and pursuit of a resilient pipeline offorth coming profitable opportunities (Opportunity Pipeline) sufficient in scale to meet annual targets, together with robust conversion plans to secure ongoing business – an annual individual conversion target will be assigned for this as a Key Performance Indicator
  • Ownership and responsibility for agreed sector pursuits and clients.
  • Engage with sector BD, Client Relationship Managers and bid managers to ensure the co-ordination with internal functions and processes.
  • To establish a relevant and active profile in the I&S sector business community, garnering opinion, identifying trends and market intelligence to support the I&S business stream sector offering and, by implication, the wider TP Group business strategy.
  • Active participation in the tendering process, as directed by the Vice President, through co-ordination with the TP Group bid staff, including technical, commercial and administrative colleagues, to contribute and occasionally lead, a winning proposal which satisfies internal governance and commercial requirements.
  • Contribute to the I&S sector forecasting against annual plans on a quarterly,monthly and as-required basis.
  • Utilize the Company CRM system to establish and maintain a mature customer, supplier and sector stakeholder relationships of value.

Profile

Essential:

  • Drive and passion for contributing to the growth of the business;
  • Experience of building and maintaining effective relationships with clients and partners and be able to operate effectively in order to influence decision makers;
  • Significant Business Acumen with a proven ability to develop and win profitable and sustainable business;
  • Experience working in or with Industry and public sector clients, such as prime telecoms and mobile providers, OEMs, Home Office, Blue Light, MOD or Other Government Departments/Bodies;
  • Experienced in promoting digital transformation offerings to a market, to include; shaping the approach, marketing the services, developing key and long lasting client/supplier relationships and managing a pipeline of opportunities;
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Desirable:

  • An understanding of Tier 1’s and/or the Government’s digital and ICT strategies and transformation agenda, and how digital consultancy, agile development and cyber security services can assist in delivering these;
  • Knowledge of Sales and BD processes (preferably Shipley) and CRM tools(preferably Maximizer).
