EMW, Inc., has been awarded a 3-year, $40 million single-award IDIQ contract for the Support Service Contract for Cyber Defence from the NATO NCI Agency.
The NCI Agency delivers secure, coherent, cost-effective and interoperable communications and information systems and services in support of consultation, command & control and enabling intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities for NATO. NCI Agency headquarters is located in Brussels, Belgium, and the agency operates in over 30 locations throughout Europe, North America, and South-East Asia.
Under the contract, EMW will provide a wide range of services throughout the various NCI Agency directorates. The services or “competency areas” include all facets of Cyber Defence.

Responsibilities
DCIS system Engineer Poland
- The contractor, under the direction of the NCIA Lead Engineer in Mons, Belgium, will assist in the configuration of the Core and infrastructure Services of NATO’s Deployable Communications and Information Systems (DCIS) assets.
- The contractor will provide Level 3 support for the Core Services in the assigned DCIS.
Tasks assigned, include but not limited to:
- Installation of new Baselines according to the Configuration and Control Board Decisions
- Monitoring and Management of the Core Services on the Deployed Assets
- Assure security hardening based on security settings and group policies
- Troubleshooting and maintenance of the Core Services installed on the DCIS Assets
- Liaise with the Agency’s Centralised Service Desk for incident, problem and change management
- Update security documentation as required
- Any required system documentation will be included as part of the tasking provided to the Contractor’s personnel, and shall be delivered to NCI Agency in electronic format
- The contract or may need to travel in order to perform their duties
Profile
- REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE: NATO SECRET, must hold an active security clearance prior to applying either NATO or your countries equivalent
- Three or more years of proved experience in the management of Core Services of a large Enterprise or Organization
- Knowledge of the entire Microsoft Operating system product line administration, with focus on Windows 7/10 as client Operating systems
- Managing DNS Domains and DNS Resolution on Windows 2008/2012 R2 and Windows 2016
- Deep knowledge of implementing and administering large Active Directory (AD) environments.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Server Products such as:
- Windows Server 2012 R2
- Windows Server 2012 R2
- Windows 2016
- Exchange Server 2010/2016
- Good knowledge of creating and managing AD Group Policies.
- Experience of Windows Administration and relevant certifications; e.g. MCITP.
- Experience in troubleshooting client OS and client software problems
- Experience in Application Provisioning technologies
- Good knowledge of managing and configuring the McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator 5.1.3 and above
- Installation and administration of VMware VSphere v6.0 and above, including clustering with shared storage over iSCSI.
- Experience in Deployable CIS, core services level 3 support
Optional:
- Managing Windows Software Update Services
- Managing and maintaining VMWare VSAN
- Installation and management of Vmware VSphere products
- Solid appreciation of server, storage and networking services
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Deployment Kit (MDT Kit)
- In-depth knowledge on network protocols and network management technology.
- Experience in Application Provisioning technologies
- Experience in Application Virtualisation and Session Virtualisation Good familiarization with HP Blade Server Products and HP MSAs (SAN – Storage Area Network)
