RUAG Space USA is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support our manufacturing/production facility in Titusville, FL. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting, supporting the team in manufacturing and building a robust approach to minimze errors, as well as creating and enhancing standized processes.

Responsibilities

  • Development and industrialization of production processes for satellite structures.
  • Development and implementation of automated manufacturing machines for satellite structures.
  • Support of Design-to-Cost activities.
  • Analysis and optimization of manufacturing processes based on value stream analysis.
  • Optimization of material flow planning.
  • Create and optimize production layouts.
  • Preparation of flow charts and cost estimates.
  • Ensure target production rates.
  • Creation and maintenance of production and process standards.
  • Creation of training documents and provide training regarding manufacturing processes.
  • Supporting the engineering department and project teams in the preparation for the manufacture of new products.
  • Systematic analysis and assistance in solving technical difficulties related to internal and external suppliers.
  • Improvement of the product quality by reducing the cost of Non-Conformances.
  • Support R&D activities.
  • Support preparation of technical and financial proposals.
  • Support elaboration of investment analysis.

Profile

  • B.S. in Engineering
  • 3 – 5 Years of directly related industrial engineering experience.
  • Previous experience in overseeing and coordinating production activities on the shop floor.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be a highly collaborative team player.
  • Must be able to develop working relationships across multiple cultures/locations.
  • Must be able to take initiatives and supporting continuous improvement
  • Must be able to define and manage budget and schedules
  • Must be able to coordinate and manage tasks and work packages
  • Must be flexible and dedicated, able to work under tight schedule
  • Must be available for a training period of one to two months at RUAG Space – Switzerland
  • Must be available for travelling abroad, maximum 20% of the working time
