Responsibilities

The Role:

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, and working closely with our resourcing, sales, project control and financial teams, you will be responsible for managing the contractual relationships with subcontractors across a variety of projects within Consulting and Professional Services.

Responsibilities:

You will have a good understanding of commercial best practice and be able to confidently manage the commercial subcontracting process from cradle to grave. You will provide commercial support across the business, principally in delivering subcontracted arrangements to support timely delivery of services to our public and private sector customers. You will be responsible for preparing and negotiating subcontracts, supporting internal stakeholders on addressing the associated contractual and commercial aspects and risk, and ensuring that contracts are signed and approved in line with company procedures.

You will ensure that header contract provisions are flown down to suppliers and provide best-fit agreements to reflect the nature of the subcontracted arrangement, where possible enforcing back-to-back provisions through the supply chain. The role will also require reviews of existing contracts to verify they are fit for purpose, highlighting areas which may require amendment.

The role will largely support delivery of subcontracted arrangements required for project delivery but will from time to time include commercial support to indirect procurement activities. You will be expected to undertake reviews of supplier terms and conditions and be confident in negotiating these in line with delegated authorities.

You will also be expected to be able to draft, review and negotiate contract documentation and agreements such as Confidentiality Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Letters of Intent, Frame Contracts, Change Notes, Standard Terms and MOUs with our supply chain partners.

The role will also include wider commercial support to the business as necessary, including supporting bid preparation and management, providing input for tenders, assisting with the preparation of ITTs for our supply chain, evaluating customer terms and conditions, addressing commercial issues as they arise and implementing policies, procedures and commercial best practice.

The business operates in a fast paced environment and we pride ourselves on being dynamic in our approach to our customers. You must therefore be able to handle short turn-around requirements and be adept at managing workloads.
