About this job

We’re looking for production Test Engineers to join Leonardo’s 1000 strong Edinburgh team. We’re a close-knit, multi-talented bunch who are crying out for people like you.

We have exciting opportunities within our Operations sector of the business.  You’ll work on things like the radar for a Typhoon fighter jet, surveillance systems that are used by coast guards to save lives at sea, or involved in the testing and diagnostic analysis of ‘cutting edge’ avionic systems for a wide range of military aircraft.

Great work-life balance.

Life shouldn’t be all work and no play. That’s why we offer brilliant benefits like half days on Fridays’, flexible hours, gym memberships, and many other lovely incentives to make life sweet.

The work’s never boring.

Obviously not. You’ll be part of a team building some of the most high-tech defence systems on earth. From day one, you’ll have a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities. Such is the pace of progress, there’s no risk of glazing over.

Room to grow.

We offer fantastic opportunities for learning, development and professional growth. And because defence production most definitely never stands still, this isn’t really an advert for one job:

Your career will be massively varied. Join us, and you’ll be constantly reinventing and developing your technical skillset from one project to the next. Learning on the job isn’t just a benefit – it’s a must.

A career for life.

Such a variety of new projects is maybe the reason we have such an incredibly low staff turnover. Many of our people stay for careers that Span decades. We see these people, our silver-haired heroes, as living Proof that we’re a great place to work. This experienced team is also a Human encyclopaedia of technical know-how. What better way to learn and develop than by surrounding yourself by the very best, and most Experienced, in your field?

Innovation is our thing.

While other companies are ‘innovating’ by plonking a ping pong table in Reception, we’re actually… innovating. We push the boundaries of Technology, accuracy, and safety in defence engineering every day, on a Global scale. From guidance systems with hair’s-breadth accuracy, to Technologies so innovative they’re downright top secret – we’ve invented it.

There’s no ‘i’ in team.

It might sound cheesier than cheddar, but together everyone achieves more. We live for that at Leonardo. On every project, we can only engineer the impossible if we put our best minds together to solve problems with Innovative solutions. We’ll stop with the sports clichés. But we’re serious when we say: we can do it.
