With a global team of more than 13,000 top professionals, we partner with the best in industry to expand the bounds of innovation in the defence and scientific arenas. In the UK, we employ more than 1,400 people and are leading the way in Armoured Fighting Vehicles, avionics and communication systems.  Given the nature of our work and who we are, we value trust, honesty, alignment and transparency.

Purpose of Position:

As a Systems Architect and leading member of the General Dynamics Mission Systems in the UK technical team, you will have the opportunity to work on new solutions across a wide range of technologies. Your work will help shape where GD’s business goes in the future.

You will work collaboratively with our stakeholders and provide technical guidance to the other members of the team.

You will bring your experience of system engineering – including direct experience of ISTAR platform development – to the team and have the opportunity to propose and create new and novel solutions across a diverse range of technical challenges.

You will have deep Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience, being a recent practitioner familiar with tactical communications systems, the associated technologies and products, and with an understanding of the army user. You will also be a self-starter with a proven track record of delivering solutions on time and to budget.
