About this job

Due to continued growth we are now looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to work alongside our National Security Business Unit Director as part of the Business Unit Leadership team to provide consistently high quality expert HR advice, guidance and support.

Responsibilities

What will your role look like?

This role will work in partnership with the business to provide coaching, support and influence that enables the business unit to effectively deliver their strategy and people plan.  Work with the HR team, Resourcing and Recruitment to identify and drive value added best proactive people solutions that are commercially orientated and support the business.

As the HR Business Partner you will have proven previous experience in the following areas:

Business Partnering:

Partnering with senior stakeholders and build a strong relationship with the leadership team, ensuring a sound understanding of the business area that they support including strategy, key priorities and projects.

Change Agent:

Drive influence, advise and support the cultural and people aspects of organisational change, structures, people processes and business improvement initiatives within the business area in order to improve business efficiency.

Leadership:

Senior stakeholder management, responsible for coaching Business Unit Leaders on HR related issues, with particular emphasis on complex situations and provide coaching and support to more junior members of the HR team.

Business and Process Expertise:

Support the organisational planning process and work with customer base to identify developments of processes and policies.

General Responsibilities:

  • Provide project management support and HR expertise to the business with specific related projects.
  • Work effectively with HR colleagues to provide a seamless HR service.
  • Actively seek client feedback to aid HR service delivery and alert HR  issues that may impact other areas.
  • Provide personal support on the research, design and development of HR initiatives in the support of the HR strategy using expert knowledge of the client area.
  • Facilitate the creation of a communication plan into the business area that achieves these deliverables.
  • Adheres to corporate policies and procedures including Code of Conduct and the Operational Framework.
  • Undertake regular travel throughout the UK to other Roke sites.

Profile

What else would we like from you?

  • Previous experience at HR Business Partner level within a similar organisation/environment is desirable.
  • Minimum level 5 CIPD qualification.
  • SC clearance preferred.

Security:

Due to the nature of this position, as a minimum we require BPSS clearance and you to either already hold or be eligible to achiever SC clearance. As a result, you should be a British Citizen and have resided in the UK for the last 5 years.
