Clyde Space* is looking to improve the automation, testing, and analysis of our next generation of spacecraft. To do this we require the skills and abilities of enthusiastic digital developers.

Our expanding Avionics team are looking for someone to join who understands the importance of testing from the lowest levels of software up to the integration of an entire satellite.

Once familiar with the operation of a satellite the candidate would be expected to become more involved in future design work aimed at building satellites suitable for high volume production and testing.

Responsibilities

  • Creation of software to test individual peripherals
  • Automation of satellite integrations tasks
  • Improvement our existing testing software
  • Creating training materials for system’s engineers

Profile

Skills required:

  • Candidate should be educated to at least Bachelor’s degree standard in software engineering or other appropriate degree
  • Must be confident in C and Python
  • Some experience with software version control system’s such as Git
  • Previous professional experience is not required but it will be considered
  • Ability to work with a group of engineers and technicians to deliver work packages to time, cost and quality

 

Useful experience:

  • Software development for low-level or RTOS systems
  • Some understanding electronic schematics and PCBs
  • Exposure to VHDL or other hardware description languages
