Momentus seeks a high performing, high energy Spacecraft Software and Firmware Engineer who can work hard with high productivity in a close knit, diverse team to rapidly develop, integrate, test and validate spacecraft flight information systems. Proven software development skills are key to this position.

This position is in the Space Vehicle group, in Santa Clara, California, USA.

Responsibilities

• Design interfaces for sensors, actuators and other avionics
• Support unit level and spacecraft level Assembly, Integration and Testing
• Unit level software development on in-house units
• Support automation of test processes
• Operational software customization
• Support design documentation and reviews

Profile

Required Experience:

• 4+ years experience depending on education level, training, and proven ability
• Experience with software development for embedded systems in aerospace or in other high-reliability industries (automotive, naval, oil & gas, etc.)
• Knowledge of digital communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, etc) and demonstrated driver development
• Experience with fault tolerant design
• Experience with Linux shell scripting
• Python, C++

Education:

• BS degree in Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline
