We are looking for candidates that are driven and passionate about learning and creating.  As an apprentice at Rocket Lab we will be enabling you to earn while you learn….sound good? With the help of our highly qualified technicians we will train you in all aspects of composite rocket building.  When signing on to an apprenticeship with Rocket Lab you will be entering into a 3-4-year program after which you will be recognized as a fully qualified trades-person.

Responsibilities

Over that period you will learn the following:

  •  Health and safety
  • The ability to use hand tool, power tools and other standard industry tools
  • How to Laminate carbon fiber and fiberglass
  • Construction techniques in composites
  • How to read and work from construction drawing
  • Time management
  • Beginning skills of project management

In addition to above, you will learn so much more about professional working life, our industry and at the end of your time you are recognized as a fully qualified trades-person with a level 4 certificate.

At Rocket Lab you are called a Composites Technician but this title will also lead you to further your career at Rocket-lab or lead you into an alternative career in:

  • The Marine Industry
  • High-end automotive manufacturing
  • Aerospace and Space
