Disruptive Technology Associates, Ltd. is looking to grow our team of highly skilled technical people with the addition of an ASIC/FPGA Engineer with hands-on experience with spacecraft hardware.  This position will support the development, testing and fielding of state-of-the-art communications systems.

Disruptive Tech is a small business with offices in Phoenix, Arizona.  We serve our customers with novel, innovative solutions that advance the state of the art.

Responsibilities

The ASIC/FPGA Engineer is responsible for all aspects of the design, implementation and test of functionality for spacecraft applications including system requirements, architecture, development, requirements validation and verification.

Profile

Due to customer requirements:

  • US citizenship is required.
  • This position also requires the ability to undergo an investigation for a security clearance (Top Secret) including a polygraph test.
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, physics or a related field is preferred.

 

This position requires:

  • Hands on experience with the design and development of FPGA and ASIC implementation for satellite communications systems application

 

Experience with any of the following are considered pluses:

  • Experience with Global Positioning System (GPS) signal processing
  • Experience with Verilog, SystemVerilog, Mentor QuestaSim, Precision, & 0-in CDC, Xilinx ISE / Vivado, Synopsis Design Compiler / ICC, and Primetime tools
  • Experience with Xilinx FPGAs
  • Experience with design using CMOS technologies of less than 45mn
  • Design of high reliability (hi-rel) satellite hardware
  • Experience with architecture and requirements development, formal design, testing and related analysis
  • Experience with filter development including Polyphase, FIR, & FFT/DFT
  • Experience with timing analysis, clock domain crossing analysis, equivalence checking, radiation analysis, and RTL simulation
  • Experience with interfacing with wafer foundry engineers
  • Experience with C, Perl and Clearcase
