Disruptive Technology Associates, Ltd. is looking to grow our team of highly skilled technical people with the addition of a Satellite Power Systems Design Engineer with hands-on experience with spacecraft (flight) hardware.  This position will support the development, testing and fielding of state-of-the-art satellite systems.

The Satellite Power Systems Design Engineer is responsible for all aspects of the design and test of DC to DC converters for spacecraft applications including requirements development, module specification, concept design, block diagram, schematic, PWB layout, performance modeling and simulation, stress analysis, worst case analysis, test procedure, and first article test.


Due to customer requirements:

  • US citizenship is required.
  • This position also requires the ability to undergo an investigation for a security clearance (Top Secret) including a polygraph test.
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, physics or a related field is preferred.


This position requires:

  • Hands on experience with design and test of power converters (DC to DC) for spacecraft applications

The following attributes are considered pluses:

  • Understanding of environmental effects on spacecraft hardware
  • PCB/PWB (Board-level) layout and design
  • Space flight hardware design experience
  • Analog simulation and modeling with Mentor Graphics or Cadence
  • Experience with Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
