Due to growth within the organisation Roke are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join this dynamic Engineering and Technology Company as a Security Administrator. This role, which would suit a security professional with experience in a List X environment, plays a critical part of the overall security function in the organisation.

As a valued member of the Roke Security Team, reporting to the Deputy Security Manager as part the Enabling Services Directorate, you will use your experience as a Security Administrator to deliver advice and support to all aspects of the organisation in a timely manner. We’re looking for a self-starter and ‘people person’ to thrive within our growing Security team.

Responsibilities

Assisting the Roke Security Management team in all aspects of administration including, but not limited to:

  • General team and office administration to support wider security team
  • Management and processing of administrative data
  • Ensure that relevant security policies and procedures are followed;
  • Provide advisory and ‘security helpdesk’ services to all staff;
  • Support business units and commercial departments in response to HMG customer information security requirements;
  • Support compliance checking activities to be completed by the Security Team.
  • Undertake all aspects of HMG classified material management and control;
  • Assure and undertake asset management processes
  • Act as Deputy Site STRAPSO & act as Deputy Crypto Custodian

Profile

What would we like from you?

  • Experience in an administration role, ideally within a security team or an organisation with strong security regimes.  Experience within List X environments is desirable.
  • An understanding of information security best practice (industry standards)
  • An understanding of HMG security requirements, ideally with experience of handling and accounting for sensitive material/media;
  • Excellent organisational and communication (written and verbal) skills. The ability to work effectively both independently and within a team;
  • Ability to balance priorities and manage time effectively;
  • Fully IT literate with Microsoft Office package and other applications.
  • This role will be based from the Roke HQ office in Romsey, however, there will be an expectation of occasional travel to the Roke Gloucester and London offices as required.

Security

Due to the nature of this position, candidates should be in possession of a current, or able to achieve, HMG SC clearance and be eligible (and willing) to achieve DV clearance.

We will assist in the transfer of any current clearance you may hold, as well as, pay a high level clearance bonus.
