EMW, Inc., has been awarded a 3-year, $40 million single-award IDIQ contract for the Support Service Contract for Cyber Defence from the NATO NCI Agency.

The NCI Agency delivers secure, coherent, cost-effective and interoperable communications and information systems and services in support of consultation, command & control and enabling intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities for NATO. NCI Agency headquarters is located in Brussels, Belgium, and the agency operates in over 30 locations throughout Europe, North America, and South-East Asia.

Under the contract, EMW will provide a wide range of services throughout the various NCI Agency directorates. The services or “competency areas” include all facets of Cyber Defence.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Senior Security Assistant and Site Security Manager (SSM), but largely on own initiative, the incumbent will perform the following duties:

  • Undertake daily administration of The Hague Pass Office
  • Provide advice and support in the areas of personnel and industrial security
  • Provide advice and support on industrial security matters relating to Facility Security Clearance Certificates and International Visit Control Procedures
  • Manage and maintain Agency Personnel Security files ensuring that all The Hague personnel have a level of security clearance appropriate for the post that they are required to fill
  • Manage and maintain secuirity clearance information in EBA
  • Manage and maintain security clearance information in IWC Value Stream
  • Monitor initial and renewal requests for personnel security clearance
  • Issue and control AMIS Identity Cards and Security Passes
  • Assist in delivering initial and final Security Brieifings for arriving and departing building occupants
  • Liaison with National Security Authorities on Personnel Security Matters
  • Stand-In for the Senior Security Assistant during absence from the Agency
  • Perform other duties as may be required.

Profile

  • REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE: NATO SECRET , must hold an active security clearance prior to applying either NATO or your countries equivalent
  • Vocational training at a higher level in a relevant discipline, leading to a professional qualification, or equivalent
  • At least three years’ relevant security/police experience, with some supervisory responsibility
  • Knowledge of Personal Computers and Office Automation
  • Self-motivated with well-developed interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Ability to express oneself clearly orally and in writing and able to understand and implement verbal/ written instructions
  • Able to take initiative and to work in an orderly and methodical way with good administrative skills
  • Experience and skills in supervision of staff
  • Good standard of physical fitness, appearance and bearing
  • Knowledge of Personal Computers and Office Automation
  • Ability to write reports in English.

Desirable Experience and Education

  • Knowledge of the NATO security regulations and procedures.

Language Proficiency

  • A thorough knowledge of one of the two NATO languages, both written and spoken, is essential and some knowledge of the other is desirable
