Responsibilities

As member of the NH90 Program Office you will be part of one of the largest and most successful military helicopter development programs, which spreads around the globe, serving 15 countries, supporting 400 operational helicopters and holding a firm order book. The joint venture NATO Helicopter Industries (NHI), consisting of Fokker, Airbus Helicopters and Leonardo Helicopters, develops, builds and supports the NH90 helicopter. This helicopter is the most modern and versatile helicopter in its class, and is being built in 3 Final Assembly Lines. Fokker designs and builds components for the NH90 helicopter (amongst others tail, intermediate gearbox, cabin sliding doors, landing gear and the sponsons). In addition, Fokker provides Support to the fleet of NH90’s in service by supplying spare parts, maintenance instructions and service engineering on these components, and provides dedicated national support to both the Netherlands and Belgium armed forces. In the role of ILS Engineering Team Lead you are responsible for the management of the Team of ILS engineers who co-ordinate and develop the Fokker contribution to ILS disciplines (RAMT, Training, AGE, LSA, Material Support, Technical Publications, and who provide all Technical Support to NH90 operators).

The ILS Engineering Team Lead tasks and responsibilities are:

  • hierarchical and functional management of the ILS team members
  • to manage and coordinate the ILS activities (resource management, scheduling)
  • to resolve the problem areas between ILS activities and other (engineering) activities
  • to provide cost estimates for the ILS contribution to Fokker commercial proposals
  • to implement the ILS policies required to achieve the results

The ILS Engineering Team Lead reports hierarchically to the Integration Engineering Manager, and functionally to the Director Product Support.

 

Profile

Your skills and competences:

We are looking for a team player, who is able to find constructive solutions both within the NH90 Program Team and the international NHI consortium. An aerospace technical engineering background and experience in Aircraft support is desired. As member of the NH90 Program Office, you are aware of the different processes and roles/responsibilities that come with Fokker’s position as an OEM partner.

Skills:

The ILS Engineering Team Lead shall:

  • hold a Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.
  • have experience in managing a team of professional specialists (>13 FTE).
  • have knowledge of and experience in ILS processes.
  • have project management skills at level IPMA-C or equivalent.
  • be fluent in Technical English, both in verbal and written communication.
