About the opportunity:

The Lean Manufacturing Specialist will implement 5S, SMED, Flow and visual management on in our new surface treatment value stream, which is chromate free and REACH compliant. A hands-on type of person can help the team industrialize this new line to meet the output and quality requirements. The role will report directly to the Industrialisation Manager and the activities are foreseen from now until Q3 this year.

Responsibilities

  • Lean implementation of handling and transportation of products in surface treatment value stream from bond preparation, through surface treatment, through primer application, until lug removal.
  • Implement 5S, SMED, Flow and visual management on shop floor.
  • Analyse and improve handling ways.
  • Manage execution of improvement actions.

Profile

Required qualifications:

  • Experience in implementation of Lean Manufacturing in low volume high complexity industrial environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience.
  • An understanding of Lean Thinking and Lean Leadership.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English.
  • The demonstrated ability to influence Team Leader and operator level, as well as the enabling functions.
  • Ability to lead, coach and mentor team members. Effective communicator, building effective teams.
  • Aerospace supply chain experience.
  • Surface treatment experience.
  • A passion for the Aerospace industry.
