GKN Aerospace is reorganizing in order to become more customer-focused and improve operational performance.  The global transformation follows years of growth-by-acquisition, and will see it move from four independent internal divisions into a single, fully integrated business.  This position will be critical in moving the organization into the new direction by accomplishing the following:The IBP Process Leader – Civil Airframe plays a key role in the Business Line by supporting execution of integrated business processes within the Civil Airframe business.  This position also has a strategic link to the Defense and Engines Business Lines.

The IBP Process Leader supports the business Line by being the “focal” for all monthly performance reporting activity.  Has the lead role for monthly IBP activities and associated resolutions for the business line (product portfolio management, program demand/review and management of business reviews).

The role is based at the GKN facility in Papendrecht, The Netherlands.

Responsibilities

  • Leads monthly Civil Airframe IBP activities.
  • Ensures discipline and availability of inputs/outputs of reviews.
  • Drives process improvements within the global GKNA IBP framework.
  • Member of the integrated reconciliation team.
  • Facilitates the IBP process and orchestrates the resolution of the ‘issues’ arising from reviews.
  • Monitors the execution of the monthly IBP events and holds business leaders (e.g. VP Strategy, VP customer, BL president) accountable.
  • Attend Reviews to critique and coach the ‘content’ within the process.
  • Develop continuous reconciliation routines through the month.  Orchestrates the process and issue resolution with people at all levels (from IPT and up).
  • Deliver high quality linkages between Market Segment reviews.
  • Enable cross process discussions when issues have been identified.
  • Share information as early as possible to maximize the time available for analysis and understanding.
  • Encourage natural communication between the teams.
  • Supports the Finance Team so that they receive the required information to enable financial projections on-time.
  • Ensure the process works with Assumptions, the Strategy and (Annual) Business Plan to determine gaps and gap-closing actions.
  • Orchestrates Integrated Reconciliation within the Market Segment, ensure clarity on status and resolution of reconciliation issues.
  • Facilitate the Market Segment Management Business Review ensuring good time management with focus on the issues arising, required decisions and business optimization.
  • Develop and maintain the rolling 12 month IBP calendar of Review dates to ensure all have visibility to attend.
  • Coach and mentor, do not delegate and then do resist the temptation for people to upwardly delegate, ensure Top Down and Bottom Up.
  • Participate in the development and deploy process improvements to maintain standardization to the methods of working. Insist on the use of processes and measures.

Profile

  • Master’s degree in Business or related experience.
  • Ability to influence and lead through other people.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel, and Project.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Independent and strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experienced in leading change projects successfully.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional and international teams effectively.
  • Structured and organized methods of working with strong planning skills.
  • The candidate must be fluent in English.
