We have built an experienced management team of communications, satellite and security professionals, and are working with a broad variety of industrial partners to build and launch our system.

Responsibilities

Description:

ArQit is seeking a systems engineer to support the design, development, integration and test of our innovative system.

This will be an exciting role supporting our senior engineers to deliver a genuinely cutting-edge system compromised of satellites, mission management software and optical ground receivers supplied by a skilled team of industrial partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Support senior engineers in establishing system technical baselines and executing design, development and validation activities
  • Build and maintain requirements databases, system architecture models and compliance matrices
  • Develop and maintain in house mission simulation models
  • Perform technology trade-offs and technical analyses
  • Supporting technical activities across a multi-company and multi-country industrial consortium
  • Supporting proposal generation for future activities

Profile

Required

  • Educated to degree level in Physics, Engineering or a Technical Discipline (minimum 2:1)
  • Hands on experience in systems engineering or modelling
  • Desire to work on new technologies and concepts for space
  • Strong communication, organisational and time management skills
  • Desire to work autonomously within a small dynamic team
  • Able to work in UK immediately and able to obtain UK security clearance

Desirable

  • 2-3+ years applied experience with Systems Engineering processes and methodologies
  • Experience with satellite systems, optical communications, quantum technologies and/or quantum cryptography
  • Familiarity with Requirements Management Tools eg DOORS, JAMA
  • Familiarity with Modelling Tools eg MatLab, Python, System Toolkit
