For permanent employment the Satellite Systems Engineering department at OHB System AG in Bremen is looking for a Satellite Systems Engineer (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

  • Satellite Lead Systems Engineer and Systems Engineers
  • Main focal point to Project Manager, AIT, PA/QA, SCM and Customer
  • Perform analyses of satellite functional, performance and interface requirements
  • Internal customer for spacecraft data bases and simulators
  • Spacecraft Validation and Spacecraft Verification on System Level
  • Work in collaboration with Architects and Subsystem engineers
  • Flow down of the satellite requirements to subsystem level specifications
  • Responsibility on AOCS specification, completion in collaboration with Avionics Architecture and AOCS Department
  • Manage overall satellite design definition and analyses (Satellite DDJF)
  • Mission performance budgets and technical system budgets (electrical power, propellant, telemetry, command, pointing, mass properties)
  • Define the satellite configuration and manage the satellite internal and external interfaces
  • Ensure compliance to the satellite technical requirements
  • Define and maintain the Satellite Development Plan (SEP) that includes satellite AIV
  • Support the generation the AIT plans and operation plans
  • Define Test Specifications for System Level Tests and Verification
  • Create and maintain general system interface and environment specifications: e.g. GERD General Requirements
  • Contribute to the project risk management for risks of technical nature
  • Supervise preparation of satellite tests and review of test results

Profile

  • Degree in engineering, physics or equivalent
  • Professional experience in satellite design advantageous
  • Self-managed and pro-active working style
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Working level proficiency in written and spoken English; German and other language skills advantageous
