About this job

Momentus provides in-space transportation services to spacecraft large and small, helping them reach their final destination. To do this, we are building in-space shuttles that carry satellites and spacecraft from the orbits that rockets leave them off in to where they need to operate in space. Our in-space shuttles are propelled by a revolutionary new type of water plasma rocket. No one has experimented with or built water plasma propulsion on the scale that we are, and so we are hiring to scale our company for continued success.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality purchasing services according to defined procedures, while respecting quantity, quality and timing
• Contribute to the improvement of the purchasing process
• Resolve lead time, shipping and invoice issues
• Conduct expense analysis to identify cost saving opportunities
• Retrieving ship dates and following up on orders
• Understand the products and ordering for the engineering
• Place the orders ahead of time knowing what were low in and what we need
• Negotiating prices with vendors
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to push performance

Profile

Professional Experience Sought

• Possess a comprehensive understanding of procurement processes.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field
• 3 years experience in Supply Chain role
• Experience with ERP and MRP programs or developing them
• In-depth understanding of material procurement, capacity planning, inventory analysis and advanced planning techniques of demand flow scheduling and vendor managed inventory
• Quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain focus, and adapt to a variety of challenges
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills

Salary and option compensation are commensurate with experience and training and competitive with Series A level Silicon Valley space startups but with exceptionally good benefits. This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services.
