EUMETSAT operates a fleet of ten Earth Observation satellites in Low Earth and geostationary orbits and is preparing for the launch of five next generation satellites in the period 2020-2025. This ambitious launch schedule will require substantial recruitment efforts to ensure all necessary programmes are staffed appropriately.

The initial contract will be of 4 years’ duration, with subsequent 5 year contracts being awarded thereafter, subject to individual performance and organisation requirements. There is no limit to the amount of follow-up contracts a staff member can receive up to the EUMETSAT retirement age of 63 and there are certainly opportunities to establish a long career perspective at EUMETSAT. This post is graded B3/B4 on the EUMETSAT salary scales. The minimum basic salary for this post is EURO 3953 per month (net of internal tax) which may be negotiable on the basis of skills and experience. The salary scale provides for increments on the anniversary of taking up employment, and scales are reviewed by the EUMETSAT Council with effect from 1 January each year. Responsibilities

Within the Human Resources (HR) Division and reporting to the Recruitment Manager, the Recruitment Coordinator will play a core role in supporting the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle. She/He will be responsible for organising, facilitating and planning recruitment campaigns aimed at sourcing and selecting the most qualified international talent and for liaising with external service providers on their recruitment related activities.

Duties

  • Organise and issue vacancy notices and post job adverts on appropriate job boards;
  • Process applications through the Applicant Tracking System, including contacting candidates to collect additional information if required;
  • Coordinate the activities of external recruiting partners to ensure continued adherence to agreed processes, KPIs and SLAs;
  • Manage recruitment related queries from candidates and internal customers;
  • Liaise, as required, with employment agencies for the procurement of temporary employees and manage the associated recruitment / interview process;
  • Make interview arrangements for staff interviews (coordinating interview schedules, sending out invitations to candidates and interview board members, welcoming candidates, supervising in-house tests, processing travel claims);
  • Provide appropriate feedback to applicants in a timely manner;
  • Support wider HR activities by producing recruitment statistics and other information and analysis as needed.

Profile

Qualifications

Full secondary education. Professional qualification in HR (e.g. Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development accreditation or equivalent) or related studies would be advantageous.

Languages

The official languages of EUMETSAT are English and French. Candidates must be able to work effectively in English and have some knowledge of French.

Skills and Experience

  • Solid record of HR administration experience, ideally gained in a recruitment function in an international working environment;
  • Extensive experience of running an end-to-end recruitment process using an Applicant Tracking System;
  • Up to date knowledge of recruitment best practices and techniques gained in an in-house environment;
  • Ability to build and cultivate relationships with stakeholders;
  • Excellent written communication skills;
  • Strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with people at all levels in a tactful, diplomatic and polite manner;
  • Excellent planning and organising skills with the ability to work autonomously;
  • Ability to handle a high volume of work whilst remaining detail-oriented;
  • A proven ability to work professionally with confidential and sensitive data.
