We currently have an exciting opportunity for a System Operations Engineer based at CNES (Toulouse, France).

Responsibilities

• Maintenance in operational condition of satellite control center
• Implementation and monitoring of operations
• Supports to tests
• Support to the management of the IT infrastructure, IT safety and security activities
• Technical management of the control center software technical management

Profile

In addition to having an Engineering University degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, the key person shall have a demonstrated experience of at least three years in the field of Operations with specific experience as follows:

• Good system knowledge of the main functional elements of a ground system which are used for the monitoring and control of a satellite.
• Good knowledge in Linux Operating Systems (e.g. RedHat)
• Ability to work in a team and to share and acquire knowledge
• Pro­active problem solving attitude
• Fluency in French (written and spoken)
• Knowledge of Earth Observation satellite data product formats.
• Knowledge of remote sensing algorithms
• Knowledge of Copernicus program
