On behalf of our team in Spain we are looking for a Software Developer, who will be part of the development and operations team. The ideal candidate will be in charge of the implementation, testing and operations of Downlink Systems for ESA science missions like Gaia, SMILE, BepiColombo and JUICE.  Will also participate to the Sprint and Daily activities, will need to interact with ESA personnel to ensure proper implementation and testing of software, and to coordinate daily operational activities when needed.

This position is to cover for two paternity leaves, for a minimum duration of 10 months. The initial contract will be temporary with the possibility to be extended further at the end. 

Responsibilities

• Software configuration management activities.
• Setting up software infrastructure.
• Coding and unit testing of back-end and/or front-end solutions.
• Generation of automated End2End tests.
• Operations and monitoring of deployed micro-services.

Profile

• Master’s degree or graduate diploma.

Mandatory skills:·

• Basic knowledge of python and/or java.
• Any other programming skills would be an asset.
