About this job

We’re looking for highly motivated graduate telecommunications engineer to help us develop state of the art telecommunication systems or work on ground breaking technology in the field of satellite or terrestrial networks. The right candidate should have studied telecommunications and gained a BSc, or MSc. providing a sound engineering grounding in this technology field.

You will have a desire to learn quickly and gain a greater understanding of new technology in ground breaking environments. You’ll be involved throughout the technology development cycle which will include the evaluation of new technologies, development of new products and research ground-breaking and novel concepts.

We’re looking for someone who can apply a thorough engineering approach, is logical, proactive and embraces innovative. The role will require at talent to design, integrate and test, solutions. It’ll be important to integrate effectively with the other team members, be able to break projects down into stages with clear deliverables/dependencies and deliver project work to committed timescales.

Responsibilities

  • Support system or network design, definition or development
  • Support system creation and proof of concepts
  • Configure and bring into service, devices, IT equipment to include severs
  • Input into the creation of new proposals or bids
  • Support product or project definition phases
  • Support on major projects
  • Support Supplier engagement help in evaluation of , supplier or subcontractor selection
  • Support documentation (HLD,LLD ,Function spec’s or test plans)

  • Telecommunication systems, Technologies and Components
  • Communications Systems Modelling and analysis
  • Internet of Things or Machine to Machine
  • Internet Multimedia Systems e.g. VoD ,VOIP , MBMS
  • Wireless Communications e.g. 802.x , 4G , 5G LPWAN
  • Software Defined Networking & Network Function Virtualisation
  • Client & Server operating systems e.g. Linux
  • Educational grounding in both terrestrial and satellite network
  • Knowledge of IP routing and protocols
  • Use of simulation or emulation tools e.g Matlab, Simulink , opnet
