You will have a minimum HNC/HND or equivalent in electronics or other relevant subject or substantial work experience in a similar role.

You will have significant experience of electrical/electronic engineering in a multi-disciplinary laboratory workshop(s) and will have a high level of accuracy, flexibility and dependability. Both University and industrial experience is sought after. You should have a good understanding of health and safety requirements and good communication skills.

  • Confident in an electrical/mechanical workshop; knowledge of electronic/electrical processes and electrical testing

  • Fault-finding and repair with use of diagnostic equipment including power supplies, signal generators, oscilloscopes, soldering irons and small hand tools.

Any experimental testing, logging or Labview experience is desireable, but training will be given. Knowledge of microfluidics, etching, nanotechnology and clean room would be advantageous.
