About this job

A new infrared measurement technique is being developed within the European Project SFERA 3 (https://sfera3.sollab.eu/) for the online mapping of emissivity and temperature applied to solar tower external thermal receivers. On the one hand, the spectral emissivity of reference materials and coatings is measured in different laboratories at room temperature and operating temperature. On the other hand, optimal wavelength combinations must be identified to apply the thermographic measurement principlein a real power plant. The focus of this work lies on the analysis of the Round Robin test campaign and the selection of relevant spectral bands.

Responsibilities

  • analysis of Round Robin Measurement data
  • comparison and selection of relevant spectral bands

Profile

  • Natural Sciences, Engineering, preferably physical optics
  • good programming skills (Matlab)
  • strong analytical skills
  • ability to work independently and in a team
  • good communication skills in English, German and/or Spanish
