SCISYS has vacancies for experienced .Net Developers to contribute to a number of exciting projects within our Enterprise Solutions and Defence Division.

• We are looking for enthusiastic developers who can work effectively in teams to deliver high quality software solutions.
• Successful candidates will be able to

• be flexible in moving between projects and in assimilating new technologies.
• You will be based out of our Chippenham office, but the role may involve work on customer sites throughout the UK.
• You must be willing to undergo security clearances.

Profile

Essential skills

• Experienced .Net Developer
• Some experience of, and willingness to work in Java, C++ or other languages
• An understanding of software best practice
• Experience of working in a collaborative team environment
• Strong communication skills
• Experience of Agile/Scrum

Desirable skills – any knowledge or experience of the following would be advantageous:

• .NET Core
• ASP.NET WebAPI and WebForms
• Message queue systems (e.g. ActiveMQ, Service Bus)
• OAuth and OpenID authentication
• Versioned REST API development, particularly complying with the OData standard
• Public cloud platforms, AWS or Azure
• Kubernetes, Docker, or other container systems
• HTML5, JavaScript or TypeScript
• React, Aurelia or Angular
• Experience of GOV.UK / GDS Design System and technology standards
• Experience in modern testing and DevOps technologies
• Revision control software such as Git or SVN
• Development of mobile applications – Android
• Degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or a scientific discipline
