From the existing expertise within the AKKA group our UK division is looking to grow our EMC engineering expertise country wide and so have growth plans to build upon our team of EMC specialist for on-going and new projects. We require a range of skills from Testing to Design with varying experience to join AKKA. Industry background experience isn’t necessary as we will offer training to bring you up to speed.

Responsibilities

  • Complete EMC tests within the Anechoic Chamber
  • Use your expertise to provide a high level of engineering from a consultative approach.
  • Provide support and feedback to relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Working independently to hit test deadlines
  • Compiling responses to clear accreditation non-compliance’s e.g. UKAS

Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or Master of Electrical Engineering
  • Professional experience (two-year min.) in EMC testing or Design
  • Knowledge of industry EMC standards for component testing and reading/writing test plans
  • Basic knowledge of standard EMC test software
  • Good knowledge of RF test equipment for EMC tests (e.g. EMI test receiver, signal generator, power meter, antennas etc.)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Happy to travel when required
