Responsibilities

  • Performs research, testing, data gathering, measurements, or engineering analysis in an office, laboratory or manufacturing environment.
  • Routinely handle complex engineering assignments and participate as strong contributors on cross-functional teams.
  • Performs engineering support on complex projects or technical assignments.
  • Leads projects or assignments of significant scope without supervision unless issues require escalation to a management level. Designs tests or experiments to support project targets.
  • Independently experiments, compiles data and analyzes results. Makes recommendations for project or team review.
  • Testing and analysis must comply with IATF16949 and ISO procedures.

Profile

  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Science. BSME is recommended.
  • A minimum of five years of related work experience required in an engineering, automotive, or manufacturing environment.
  • Work experience from an automotive Tier I supplier is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management techniques and working with programs from concept to production.
  • Knowledge of automotive industry standards and procedures strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Project, Word, and PowerPoint
