Are you a qualified Electrical Systems Engineer, with a background in aerospace and avionics engineering? Does your experience include systems qualification, verification and electrical testing, from writing procedures to analysing results? This is an opportunity to work on the re-certification of a power system for a military fast jet programme.

Our activities cover systems tests, certification updates and the generation of all associated supporting documentation. With the programme ramping up, we are seeking further a lead system engineer, with experience in electrical testing to support the verification phases (including test strategy development, qualification testing and final reporting) on this and future projects.

Responsibilities

  • Systems Engineer (Electrical biased) with background in Aerospace and avionics systems qualification.
  • Proven experience in verification activities including writing test procedures, running tests and analysing results.
  • Provide support to the environmental and endurance testing phases of the project.
  • Support development of the account by working alongside the business development team.
  • On-site based for project ramp up, reporting technical issues, planning of activities and progress. Bristol based after with weekly visits to report progress.
  • Skills ability to travel to tests facilities within EU.

Profile

  • Essential:
    • A degree in systems engineering, electrical, aerospace engineering or a similar discipline
    • Demonstrable experience of electrical systems engineering
    • Experience with analogue and digital electronics, electronic boards and embedded equipment
    • Strong written and verbal English language skills
    • Knowledge of Qualification Test Report procedures
  • Desirable :
    • A background in aerospace or other safety or reliability-critical industry
    • Knowledge of any of the following tools: Cadence, NX or DOORS
    • Experience with environmental qualification, including climatic, vibration and EMC testing
  • There will be some UK and European travel required for this role
