Responsibilities

We are looking for a Component Technician to join our avionics production team on a 6-month fixed term contract.   The role will contribute to meetings Rocket Lab’s manifest targets by manufacturing and testing avionics components to the required standard.   You will manufacture avionics components using the following processes – PCB assembly, small electrical assemblies with harnessing and soldering.  Common hand tools you will have experience with are screwdrivers, pliers, spanners and soldering irons.  Specialist tools and equipment, you will use are wire strippers, torque drivers, milliohmeter, multimeter, DC power supply etc.

Profile

  • Demonstrate 3+ years of relevant industry experience
  • A high work rate and the ability to work overtime and long hours if needed
  • A very high level of attention to detail and the ability to produce work to an exceptional standard of accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as autonomously
  • The ability to read, understand and follow manufacturing instructions and drawings
