Profile

  • Degree level education in electronics with MSc or PhD in a microwave or millimetrewave subject.
  • Five years or more experience in mmics design and mm-wave RF integration.
  • Millimetre wave IC design and packaging.
  • Can show examples of PAs, LNA and Phase shifter previous designs.
  • Experience of SiGe, CMOS, GaAs and/or GaN technologies.
  • RF system design and component specification.
  • Understanding of RF transceiver architectures and phased array.
  • Multilayer pcb design experience using Altium or similar.
  • Managing pcb fabrication and tracking capabilities across multiple vendors.
  • Multilayer integration technologies e.g. LTCC.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and assembly rules.
  • Understanding of thermal design and analysis.
  • Creating assembly and test documentation.
  • RF measurement including on-wafer and connectorized measurement and characterisation of Power amplifiers, LNAs,mixers MMICs for small and large signal performance.
  • Fluency in design tools such as ADS, Cadence, CST or MW Office.
  • Be a confident self-starter and a proficient team player.
  • Be resourceful with new ideas and applications.
  • Understanding of digital modulation methods.

Plus to have:

  • Experience with digital systems/circuits.
  • Programming skills in Python, Matlab, C/C++.
  • Wireless/digital communications or Radar background.
