Reporting to the Operations Manager the primary focus of the role is to ensure ETL maintains and improves both QA/QC systems and processes across the business in a way which brings value to the company and our customers, thus enhancing ETL’s overall quality standing in our industries whilst maintaining ETL’s certification to ISO9001:2015.

Responsibilities

As part of the role, the Senior Quality Engineer will also be required to:

  • To lead, maintain and improve ETL’s Quality standards.
  • To comply with the ISO 9001 accreditation and satisfy applicable statutory, regulatory and company requirements.
  • To ensure policies, procedures and compliance procedures are adhered to.
  • To implement QA and QC processes and procedures in the value stream.
  • To guide teams in methodologically identifying Root Causes and taking on Corrective & Preventative Actions to avoid reoccurrence.
  • Monitoring supplier quality and delivery and as dealing with non-conforming products.
  • Working with the Production Process Engineering team to train staff on manufacturing processes and identifying areas for improvement.
  • To carry out internal audits whilst helping guide staff through external audits.
  • Responsible for all QA and QC associated communication to include visits, discussions and improvement opportunities.

Profile

Coming from an electronics manufacturing background the ideal candidate will have the following skills, experience and knowledge:

  • Experience of working to ISO standards and implementing these standards within a business.
  • Proven experience as a practitioner in a quality improvement. Graduate or equivalent experience
  • Ability to undertaking internal and external audits.
  • A good communicator who can work effectively as an individual or as part of a team.
  • Ability to use own initiative to manage and influence people to deliver required results.
  • Strong planning, problem solving and organisational skills.
  • Excellent IT skills.
