Your Mission:

You as a team member of the Galileo Hosting Service Project operate and manage the high availability ground infrastructure of the Galileo Control Center in Oberpfaffenhofen in Germany (GCC-D).You are responsible for the implementation and processing of the hardware configuration management for the Hosting Service at GCC-D.

Responsibilities

  • Close cooperation with hosting management and ILS management to keep the hosting service operation under control
  • Ensure consistent version management of documentation related to hosting as:
    • Hosting Configuration File including structured cabling infrastructure, OPS support systems (e.g. Voice Intercom System), LAN Infrastructure Description etc.
    • Galileo ground segment deployment plan
    • Configuration Change Requests
    • Design Change Proposals
    • Updated Versions of Requirement Documentation
    • Design Documentation
  • Ensure reproducibility of service and deployment changes
  • Maintenance of the configuration management database as well as the deviation management for the hosting service design and the interfaces to third-party systems
  • Support of hosting service manager in release planning and change management

Profile

Your Qualifications:

  • Completed studies in aerospace engineering, information technology or equivalent
  • Initial experience in configuration management is advantageous
  • Ideally experience with Configuration Management Tools
  • Basics in the areas of application lifecycle management and version management systems
  • Basics in the area of computer and network hardware
  • High team and communication skills
  • German and English business fluent
