About Us

The purpose of the Catapult is to support UK industry by accelerating the growth of satellite applications and to contribute to capturing a 10% share of the global space market predicted by 2030.

We focus on three themes across our targeted market areas:

Empowering the Technology – We help companies bring their product or service to market.

 

Responsibilities

This is a new role to build on, and develop, the next stage of our evolution from a start up to high performing learning organisation.

You will use your awesome skills and insights to create innovative and impactful solutions that unlock the potential of our people.

Working with your team you will be responsible for the efficient and smooth running of the everyday service, always striving to develop and improve the people experience.

This is an amazing opportunity for a qualified HR Manager with solid experience in the fundamentals of HR (employee relations, TUPE, Redundancy, Payroll, Reward & Benefits).

Profile

Skills & Experience required:

  • CIPD Qualified / Equivalent Experience.
  • Strong and demonstrable experience in the fundamentals of HR (ER, TUPE, Redundancy, Payroll, Benefits, Reward).
  • People Management experience.
  • Knowledge of relevant employment legislation (i.e. IR35, UKVI).
  • Experience in resourcing, talent management and workforce planning.
  • Outstanding communicator, using coaching and feedback, empathy and influence.

The purpose of your new team:

The core focus of the people team is to ensure our people are empowered, engaged and developed to work in Pioneering, Agile,Collaborative and Entrepreneurial ways to ‘Innovate for a better world empowered by Satellites’.

We do this by developing initiatives and providing services that support the ‘moments that matter’ throughout a Catapultians journey here at the Catapult.

Quick facts: This is a permanent role directly with Satellite Applications Catapult. We are based in Harwell with great public transport connections from all of Oxfordshire as well as London. We offer competitive salaries with annual reviews, end of a financial year bonus, 28 days of annual leave plus all your bank holidays paid for as an extra. Our pension scheme is competitive with a maximum of 10% contribution from us if you put in 5% and to top it all off, we have a private medical insurance as a benefit in kind. We work in a collaborative engaging way and believe in empowering our people, after all, you are our greatest asset!
