About this job

We have an interesting contract opportunity ideally suited for a commercially minded graduate.

We are seeking an individual with experience of working with Multi-Lateral Development Banks (MLSBs) or experience of working in programs for the international development sector to write a report to fill in our market knowledge gaps.

The role will suit you perfectly if you are used to providing high quality reports (i.e. academic assignments or equivalent).

You have excellent understanding of organisational structures and commercial practices.

You have excellent command of written and spoken English.

As two of the first banks we would like to target cover Latin America and the Caribbean, a command of Spanish would be a distinct advantage.

Responsibilities

What do we expect you to deliver?

A detailed report covering areas:

  • MLDB Structure (overview).
  • MLDB Corporate process flow.
  • Identifying key individuals to align with Catapult interests.
  • Practical examples of how Catapult could engage with the various components of the MLDB in a variety of scenarios e.g. proposing new programmes, support existing programme, bidding for contracts, assisting HMG engagements etc.
  • Critical issues / potential blockers that the Catapult should be aware of.
  • Comparison of MLDB with other MLDBs.
  • List potential opportunities in MLDB pipeline (open competitions)a full report needs to be submitted prior to moving on to the next bank.

The successful applicant will need to be available between the contract dates for specific advise about MLDB interactions.

This is a contract position and is likely to fall inside of IR35 meaning the successful applicant would need to engage with an Umbrella Company or via an agency.

The day rate for the role is £75 per day (cross) and we have allocated up to 15 days between 1/03/2020 and 1/09/2020 to deliver the support. What days you work and how you work is for you to decide but we expect to review the first report by 1st of June 2020. You will be paid based on a timesheet that you submit via the Umbrella company or the Agency you engage

You can work remotely and you can work from our offices based on Harwell Campus. There will be ad hoc requirement to visit the main office to discuss the report and findings. Reasonable, pre-agreed expenses for the travel will be reimbursed.
