We are looking for a Project Controls Manager to join our P3M consultancy
department. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team who
are working on sharing innovative solutions or manufacturing bespoke engineering
systems.

Responsibilities

The P3M consultancy department work in partnership with national government
bodies, international institutions and global prime contractors on enterprise
transformation, feasibility analysis, systems engineering and programme delivery and
support.

The Project Controls Manager role will be responsible for setting and maintaining
Performance Measurement Baselines, directing and integrating all aspects of
Planning and Scheduling, Cost Estimating, Risk Management, Cost Control and
Earned Value Management (EVM), whilst providing analysis of progress and driving
agreed recovery actions. They will work with Programme/Project/Control Account
Managers to establish, maintain and manage robust Performance Measurement
Baselines as well as develop project controls plans, processes and ways of working
in line with the client’s business needs and strategic objectives.

Profile

The right applicant for this role will be someone who has a consultancy or client-side
background within the project controls and risk management disciplines. You will have
experience in managing client relationships and, ideally, you will have worked in, or
with clients, in the defence sector. You will have demonstrable understanding of
integrated project controls with a specialist understanding of at least one project
controls discipline (e.g. planning/scheduling, risk management, EVM etc.). You must
have proven experience in delivering project controls improvement plans, and, ideally,
have achieved APM qualifications.

 Candidates will need to undergo an internal BPSS check prior to gaining site
access.
 Candidates will also need to either hold a current SC clearance or be willing
and eligible to undergo a Security Clearance check (SC level) upon starting
their employment with the company.
o To gain SC clearance you will normally need at least 5 years’ UK
residency.
