For our Component Maintenance Repair and Overhaul organization at Schiphol, we have an open vacancy for a Maintenance Development Team Leader. This function is part of the Global Standards team that also contains the Technology Development, Product Support, Technical Publication, Business Improvement and Advances Analytics departments.

The Component Maintenance Repair and Overhaul division, within Fokker Services, maintains aircraft components of all major aircraft manufactures, suds as Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier and Fokker. Within CRMO Operations, approximately 10,000 work assignments are processed per year across the three shops for the Main technology, Mechanical, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Fuel, Power Generating and Electronics (Avionics).

The Maintenance Development Team Leader reports to the Manager Global Standards and has approx. 8 direct reports.

Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Leading a team of Maintenance Development Engineers, mainly focused on aircraft systems and components.
  • Feasibility investigation in close corporation with Product Management.
  • Develop key maintenance capabilities: Main technology, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Power Generating and Electronics (Avionics).
  • Supports Capex projects, set-up and implementation.
  • Organize effective capability introductions.
  • Maximize standardization, innovation (process) and cooperation.
  • Maintain a positive, motivated and disciplined working spirit on the work floor.
  • Connect with other facilities of Fokker Services.

Profile

Your skills and competences are:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering. Aerospace will be a pré.
  • The post holder needs to be technology focused.
  • Experience in the Aerospace or similar industries.
  • Affinity with one of these methodologies: Lean Six sigma, IPMA or Prince 2.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Experience in change management.
  • Pragmatic approach and hands-on mentality.
  • Team-player, communicative and resourceful personality.
