An exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic administrator has open at Rocket Lab’s Auckland facility. This is a 6-month fixed term contract.


The successful applicant will be working alongside our busy Buying Team, who are tasked with ensuring Electron launch vehicle components required by the business are supplied at the right time, to the right place and at the best possible price. Our buying team plays a key role in moving our business from a R&D company to a manufacturing business and buyers are expected to identify opportunities for improvement and to support the business on this important and exciting journey. Initially for a 6-month fixed term, this role has plenty of scope for growth with the possibility of becoming a permeant role as the company continues to expand. You will assist with the development and implementation of administrative processes within the buying team. Reporting directly into the Buying Team Lead, she is committed to working with you to develop the best administrative solutions for the business. You will need to build great partnerships with both internal stakeholders in the business and our external business partners, enabling information to be communicated in a timely manner.


  • 1+ years Purchasing/Buying admin experience
  • A quick learner with the ability to manager your own workload appropriately to meet the demand of the business
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Great MS office skills (especially excel)
  • Exceptional analytical and organisational skills
  • Can work well under pressure
