About this job

Momentus provides in-space transportation services to spacecraft large and small, helping them reach their final destination. To do this, we are building in-space shuttles that carry satellites and spacecraft from the orbits that rockets leave them off in to where they need to operate in space.

Our in space shuttles are propelled by a revolutionary new type of water plasma rocket. No one has experimented with or built water plasma propulsion on the scale that we are, and so we are hiring a Program Manager to handle one of our missions.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams of engineers in executing and planning of a spacecraft program from design to launch
• Responsible for Schedule, Budgets and Resource management
• Communicate effectively with upper management on execution progress & delays
• Strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives
• Work closely with cross-functional teams and assigned project managers to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives
• Vendor Management
• Develop and manage budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives
• Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for management and stakeholders

• Wrike, Airtable, Microsoft, Gsuite, Valispace

Profile

Required:

Experience in the space industry and technical background in spacecraft design

Professional experience sought:

• Experience in spacecraft management or complex Program Management of technical systems
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related engineering field
• 3+ years in an advanced management role (preference given to those with program management experience)
• Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills
• Working knowledge of digital marketing
• Outstanding working knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes
